Sewer & Watermain Installations

When performing sewer and watermain repairs and installations, we have the resources to perform the majority of the work, reducing the need to utilize sub-contractors.

Sewers, watermains, pumping stations, leachate collection systems and gabion walls can all be installed with the help of our experienced superintendents. With our versatile equipment fleet, we can effectively and efficiently repair and install various water and sewer systems. Our mini excavators make it easy to work in tight, small and narrow areas. We can also utilize our three-yard excavators in situations that require a larger, deeper excavation.

We have 3-1/2” to 5-1/2” “trenchless” torpedoes that are useful in certain soil conditions and will help minimize the need for excavating. We perform boring and jacking from 6” to 30” diameters, as well as rod pushing and pipe splitting.

Miscellaneous Repairs

If you have any sewer or water related issues, we can repair it. We repair leaking and/or cracked foundation walls, and leaking pedestrian and utility tunnels. We can abandon existing sewer and water services. We repair frozen sewer and water services as well as utilize our high pressure flusher to thaw them. We also can repair existing concrete structures, curbs and sidewalks, as well as repair asphalt potholes and cracks in parking lots and roadways.

Leachate Collection System Installations

We have experience in installing leachate collection systems. We contribute our expertise to improving the local Hamilton environment by utilizing slope stabilization methods. Several examples of these measures are the leachate collection systems and a barrier wall along the length of the existing Upper Ottawa landfill site (760 meters) that was reconstructed after it began to deteriorate. These methods were implemented to prevent damage to the important ecosystem which surrounds the old landfill site. This highly sensitive area is the natural habitat for various species, including red foxes, white-tailed deer, weasels, muskrats, coyotes, songbirds, pheasants and raptors — all a rare glimpse into a little-known Hamilton wilderness.

Watermain & Service Locating

We are able to locate most water mains and water services using electronic induction and metal detectors. We also have the means to detect most water main and water service leaks using electronic amplification.
